The programme for the course has been designed to provide the participants with theory, principles and practices in Search and Rescue (SAR) in accordance with ICAO’s standards and recommended practices (SARPs) and to prepare the participants for SAR Mission Coordinator roles (SMC).

Air Traffic Controller;
Other agencies involve in Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue.

Theoretical Lessons, Progress Tests, Final Examinations, maritime plotting exercises, coordination exercises (Level 2 SARMC exercises)

This course will take 7 weeks
Course contents
Note: All participants must achieve a score of 70% or above on all the subject modules.
COURSE ObJECTIVE
Upon successful completion of the course, the trainees have the attitude, skills and knowledge to:
Calculate the search area accurately using given worksheets.
Deploy Search and Rescue units to the search area.
Monitor Search and Rescue progress.
Review the Search and Rescue operations performance.
Demonstrate appropriate actions during the search operation.
Evaluate the Search and Rescue operations.
