OVERVIEW

The programme for the course has been designed to provide the participants with theory, principles and practices in Search and Rescue (SAR) in accordance with ICAO’s standards and recommended practices (SARPs) and to prepare the participants for SAR Mission Coordinator roles (SMC).

Target Audience

Experienced Air Traffic Controllers who are transitioning into the role of an On-the-Job Training Instructor.

ASSEsSMENT

Theoretical Lessons, Progress Tests, Final Examinations, maritime plotting exercises, coordination exercises (Level 2 SARMC exercises)

Prerequisites

Air Traffic Controller;  

Other agencies involve in Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue.

Duration

7 weeks – This duration can vary depending on the specific training center or aviation authority.
