8 Syllabus

Objective

Trainees are expected to have the attitude, skills, and knowledge to accurately calculate search areas using given worksheets, deploy Search and Rescue units to the designated areas, and monitor the progress of SAR operations. They should also be able to review and evaluate the overall performance of SAR operations, as well as demonstrate appropriate actions throughout the search process. These competencies are developed through a combination of lectures, guided learning activities, and simulator exercises, with trainees required to meet the standard set by their State Regulatory Authority.
