Course Overview
This course is designed to impart knowledge of an Aerodrome Control procedures and practices based on national and international standards.
The general objective for Aerodrome Control Course is that trainees shall apply operational procedures to ensure a safe, orderly and expeditious service to aircraft flying in the vicinity of the aerodrome and on the manoeuvring area.
Course Curriculum
Our Aerodrome Control Course is an immersive, high-intensity program engineered to transition trainees from theoretical understanding to operational mastery. By blending rigorous academic syllabus, advanced high-fidelity simulator instruction, and real-world facility integration, we prepare the next generation of air traffic controllers for safety-critical environments.
The curriculum for an Aerodrome Control Course shall ensure that trainees will have demonstrated a level of knowledge in at least the following subjects:
Operational Procedures of Aerodrome;
Aircraft operations;
Equipment and systems;
Radio telephony communication and intercom procedures;
Meteorology;
Flight progress strips management;
Aircraft abnormal and emergency situations;
Human factors.
Simulator Training
- Our simulator training is conducted in a 3D aerodrome simulator and includes of a minimum of 18 exercises.
- The aerodrome environment specified and simulates all conditions that may be encountered by an aerodrome controller.
- The generic environment can simulate single, parallel and cross runway operations and may be a mix of either civilian and military traffic or civilian or military only
Rigorous Evaluation Standards
Trainee progress is continuously monitored across all training checkpoints, culminating in comprehensive formal written examinations.
A strict 70% passing benchmark is enforced across all final evaluations to secure official accreditation.
Pre-requisite
- The applicant shall have successfully completed Basic/ Primary ATC or equivalent; or
- as determined by Civil Aviation Authority or other states Regulator/ Air Navigation Service Provider.
